After his humiliation of Cebo Ngema in the ring, Toto Helebe had become one of the most sought-after boxing commodities in South Africa.

Alas, his victory was short lived after he was stabbed in the arm in September 2017.

It put paid to his ambitions.

But after consultations with his team, Helebhe has agreed to go to what is regarded as a tune-up fight against Mbulelo Dyani- a prospect- before he resumes his international career.

Mbulelo Dyani has been said to be hungry for fight with Helebe directly after his two past victorie.

Helebe has obliged, according to close sources, if only because he missed out on a fight scheduled for December 2017 in Khazakstan, which was cancelled after the knifing incident.

Asked why he wanted to ply his skills in other country, Helebe said: “This is a perfect opportunity for a comeback in the world stage as my opponent will not know and exploit my mishaps.”

He also made it clear that he had lost the same belt against Gemino two years ago and recapturing it would have secured him a favourable spot to challenge Rian Bannet for the WBA Super Bantamweight belt. It is more like back to square one for the Gugs Gang.

Helebe has also cleared matters regarding his exploits in the Bantamweight Division, and said he was looking forward to dominating the division in South Africa one more time. It is said that one the reasons Helebe is fighting Dyani is to impress Rumble Africa Promotions one more time and show them that his is ready for the money.
