Jehova’s Witnesses convention

2017-10-19 06:00

The English, Afrikaans, Xhosa, and Chichewa delegates of Jehovah’s Witnesses from all parts of the Western Cape will attend their three-day annual convention, with the theme, “Don’t give up,” to be held at the Cape Town Stadium in Green Point from the 27th to the 29th October 2017.

Steve Futter, media contact for the event, said, “Many today are faced with extremely challenging circumstances, which can cause tremendous anxiety and depression.

The Bible shows us how to have a happy life now and how to gain an even better life for the future. We are confident that all who attend will leave refreshed and will learn how to turn to God for strength as recorded in the Bible at Romans 15:5.”

Highlights of the programme:

•Feature Film: Each afternoon, follow the story of a family who learns why Jesus said: “Remember the wife of Lot.” – Luke 17:32

•Public Discourse: On Sunday morning, benefit from the encouraging discourse entitled: “Never Give Up Hope!”

Local congregations in the Western Cape are busy participating in a special campaign to distribute a personal invitation to their neighbours, friends and relatives.

The Convention will commence with a music video presentation at 9.20 am each day. Admission is free, no collections are taken and all are welcome to attend. See a complete program schedule and watch a video about conventions at https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/conventions/
