Accolodes and plaudits will be thrown around when township businesss are appreciated through the first ever annual Ikapa Business Awards organised by Rough Stones Communications (RSC) in November.

RSC managing director Kutala Vanqa- said the awards are the highlight in the townships business calendar.

“Through these awards, we celebrate successful Kasie companies, and offer an excellent opportunity for all business sectors to meet, be inspired and showcase their achievements,” said Mkunqana.

This year will see 10 different awards being given to deserving recipients, each celebrating and recognising business success across Ikapa, giving businesses from every sector the opportunity to promote and market themselves whilst at the same time inspiring other emerging entities.

Companies and organisations are allowed to enter a maximum of three categories.

All short listed companies will be entitled to two free tickets to the gala dinner and awards ceremony taking place on November 19 .

Why are the benefits of entering: Winners will receive a certificate and a bespoke trophy.

Company should be a role model for others whilst learning from more established entities. Should create hope and inspiration for local business and civic organisations.

Short listed companies are entitled to two free places at the gala dinner and awards ceremony where we are likely to be around 300 people in attendance.

Winners have the opportunity to make a speech to guests attending the dinner which include key business people from across the country.

Winning companies will have their name and company details appear on the Ikapa Business Awards website for 12 months after the awards ceremony, affording the opportunity for 12 months’ worth of free advertising space to the whole of the business community across the country.

It is easy to come up with innovative and bold ideas.

It is, however, important to ensure appropriate and measurable implementation time frames, charecterised by qualitative and quantitative results.

This in turn allows one to determine whether such objectives and ideas are responsive enough to meet medium and long term growth needs to sustain chosen business path.

To enter, send a 150 word motivation letter about your business or preferred nominee. You can enter up to 3 business categories and email info@roughstones.co.za

The closing date will be the 25 October 2016 on or before 16h00pm. No late applications will be accepted.

The 10 awards will be: Sports Business Award; Business Woman of the Year; Young Business Leader of the Year; Tourism Business Award; Lifetime Achievement Award; Role Model of the Year Award; Community Developer Award (Community Hero); Women owned Co-op Business Award; Emerging Business Award and Social Enterprise Business Award.
