The popular Kirstenbosch summer sunset concerts begin this weekend with a full line-up ahead.

The season of Sunday picnic concerts will kick off with Freshlyground on Sunday 22 November before Zonke Dikana takes to the stage on Sunday 29 November.

The season runs until Sunday 3 April 2016 and back by popular demand this year are Arno Carstens, Mango Groove, The Parlotones, Prime Circle, Mi Casa, The Soil, the Cape Town Folk ’n Acoustic Music Festival, Goldfish and The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

Some interesting duos in the mix including Shortstraw and The Plastics who share the stage, as do Matthew Mole and Rubber Duc. Al Bairre and Bye Beneco and Zebra & Giraffe and Monark as well as the energising Karen Zoid with Francois van Coke are all bound to please.

The concerts start at 17:30, but gates open at 16:00. Ticket prices range between R110 and R175 for adults with special youth tickets available from R80 to R140.
