Langa Cricket Club went down by eight wickets when they square off against Victoria Cricket Club from Kenilworth at Langa Cricket Stadium on Saturday 18 January.

The two teams played in the Western Province Reserve A league.

Langa, who batted first, were all bowled out for paltry 65 runs in 24 overs in a 50 over match.

A ruthless Victoria chased down the target in 21 overs, losing only one wicket.

Langa coach Pim Msweli blamed poor preparations for the loss.

He said most of his players were away representing the province and did not form part of the team leading up to the match.

“Some of the players came back in the morning of the game so therefore did not get enough time to practise with the rest of the team and also most of our players are u.19 players,” he said.

He said now that all his players are back, they will get enough time to practise together so there can be some improvement.
