Listeriosis: Cleanse and cook food

2018-03-15 06:00

South Africa and neighbouring countries are going through bad times.

Babies, pregnant women, the elderly and HIV-positive people are at risk of Listeriosis.

The challenge is for parents to prepare food and lunch boxes differently, and acknowledge that there’s a crisis. No doubt, change is hard but necessary. We’ll get used to it.

This situation is being attended to by the health department and hopefully will be short lived.

Stick to regulations and follow proper hygiene, clean and cook your food to steer clear of the virus.
