‘Litsha Expo 2016 at Tambo

2016-05-26 06:00

Friday will be the second annual anual Khayelitsha Entrepreneurship & Career Expo 2016.

The event takes place at the OR Tambo Sports Complex in Mew Way.

Small businesses contribute significantly in reducing the unemployment rate in our country and globally, therefore, this event will serve as a platform to highlight and promote entrepreneurship in our disadvantaged communities and profiles those who are doing exceptionally well in their small enterprises and offer them access to key information in how to grow their entities.

The expo aims to continuously serve as an ideal platform for government organs and private companies who offer financial and non-financial support to SMMEs to exhibit and interact with both well-established and emerging entrepreneurs about various opportunities aimed at empowering and uplifting SMMEs and cooperatives.

This year, they have also invited government organs and private companies who offer bursaries, internships, graduate development programs, employment opportunities etc. to showcase their products and services, with a pure aim to empower and uplift the youth of Khayelitsha.

The exhibition will provide a perfect opportunity for participating companies and state entities to showcase their products and services to the entrepreneurs of Khayelitsha and the surrounding areas. On the day, the Expo 2014 attracted just over 600 SMMEs and emerging entrepreneurs over a two day period and this year we are targeting 1000 SMMEs and 5000 students and graduates to attend the event.

Therefore, we would like to invite all government organs and private companies to support this exciting initiative which will continuously benefit the people of Khayelitsha and the surrounding areas immensely. For information contact me Nathi Sishuba on 021 829 9443 or 072 9221783.
