Xolisa Kwinana is a dynamic gospel artist who hasn’t been long in the music industry.

Born and raised in Cape Town, his love for music developed at an early age while still at school.

He sang in the school choir and later joined a local choir where his love for music grew immensely.

To become one of artists to represent the musical potential of the Western Cape in the gospel industry, and also to show young people that through creativity and hard work, one can help in eliminating poverty, restoring hope and above all serve the Lord in their youth.

In February 2015, Kwinana released a debut album titled: “Siphila Ngaye” which sadly, failed miserably as far as maturity and growth in his musical career are concerned, but earned him more accolades by winning in the category of Best Praise Album as well as Song of the year for 2015 in the Cape Town Gospel Music Awards.

In 2016 he was nominated twice at the Third National Ingoma Song of the Year Award in Johannesburg.

He won against stiff competition from the likes of Thinah Zungu and M Siya.

Xolisa Kwinana recently released a new Album titled: “Uhamba nobani?”

Kwinana is currently in the nomination for the SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards, which will be held in Durban on Sunday.

He is the only gospel artist from the Western Cape to be nominated this year.

Since this is a non-voted for category, Kwinana relies on prayers for victory. His music is available online and in stores.
