A Gugulethu rapper with the world at his sight is ready to show off his versatility in the music industry.

Zephaniah Sabela Ntshekisa, better known as ZeeBee in the local rap scene is also a music producer and sound engineer who has tasted the joy of performing on international stages, is ready to do it again.

The 20 year old rapper from Station Park is gearing towards the released of his first EP titled Zealous.

Zeebee will be showing off his skill and versatility as a rapper and music maker having in the past produced many genres of music and having worked with local artist such as Siba Anne, Korianda, Al Pacino and Immortal Killers.

He has also been an assistant engineers for artists such as Black Coffee and Freshly Ground.

“My music is a true reflection of my everyday thoughts. I don’t have a specific sound, or style that I would say is mine. This is because my music is influenced by all kinds of genres from Blues to Trap to Maskandi,” he told City Vision.

This is evident as his mixtape has a varied compilation of sounds from RnB, Rap and AfroPop, he is hoping to take these flavours overseas as he is planning a tour early next year.

“I am planning to perform in two cities in the UK; Newcastle because I know that there is a huge demand for African artists in that part of the world,” he said.

It would not be the first time that the rapper has been overseas, last month he spent 10 days performing in the United States of America as part of an international music program.

“The program is called “Hear Be Dragons” and it consisted of 12 artists from Brooklyn and 12 other artists from Nyanga. Its aim is to make music that tells a true story of the two neighbourhoods we came from, creating something like a sound map.

This year I was chosen to go to New York alongside two other artists and performers,”. He said the highlight of the visits was performing in front of sold out crowds. Ntshibeka said that he hopes to be respected as innovative, motivated and passionate artist and producer.

“I also have hopes of building my record label and distribution company.

My ambition is to inspire the youth to follow their passion and take risks,” he concluded.
