The new Boxer store opened only two months ago and has just given one lucky shopper a brand new Ford Figo.

The supermarket chain opened in the Western Cape at Nonkqubela,

A red Ford Figo was parked in the Boxer store for almost eight weeks.

All customers had to do was spend a minimum of R200 or more per purchase, write their details on the back of their till slip and drop it into the car parked in the store.

Customers could enter as many times as they wanted as it would increase their chances of winning.

After eight weeks the competition came to an end and it was time for the lucky winner to be selected.

Store manager Pieter de Beer picked a young child who was shopping with her family and asked if she’d like to choose the winning till slip.

The youngster climbed into the car and scrummaged through thousands of entries.

Eventually she handed one over.

The winner was announced in store.

Nomweliso Mahobe from Site C in Khayelitsha became the proud owner of a new Ford Figo 1.4 car.

When her name was announced she ran through the store in tears to claim her prize. She was surrounded by excited staff and customers, all who celebrated with her.

“What an amazing way to start the new year, with a new set of wheels!” said Andrew Mills, from the store.
