Mam’Winnie, the PAC and the University

2018-05-03 06:00

I salute Mam’ Winnie Madikizela-Mandela for her contribution to the South Africa liberation struggle at a time when Africans were murdered, executed and jailed in numbers.

She remained a torch-bearer who refused to give in to the political and pseudo-judicial pressure of the colonial and apartheid machinery. Mam’Winnie believed in the restoration of dignity. She sacrificed a lot for this country. I understood her stance on the question of land, where she complained and interrogated the ANC who adopted the “willing-buyer willing-seller” policy.

She asked “with what money are we going to buy our land, as the white men did not buy our land”? Mam’ Winnie Madikizela Mandela differed with the collaborationist and sell-out tendencies of the ANC.

She remained steadfast in the principle of total liberation of Africans. I salute her!

Her contribution shall never be forgotten. She never expected material rewards. We are here through her sacrifice and selflessness. She is an icon, a fearless cadre and a true freedom fighter!

Our appeal for the return of the bones of the PAC-Azanian People’s Liberation Army and ANC-Mkhonto Wesizwe cadres still planted in exile to be brought back and be buried in dignity at home.

I propose the rename of Cape Town International Airport to Robert Sobukwe, We proposed long time ago as PAC Freedom Fighters.

Groote Schuur Hospital should change to Clarence Makwetu. Tygerberg Hospital should change to Vusi Nkumane.

Nico Malan Nursing College should change to John Nyathi Phokela. Stellenbosch University should change to Zephania Mothopeng. Port Elizabeth Airport should change to Sabelo Phama. East London Airport should change to Steve Bantu Biko.

Rhodes University should change to Jafta Masemola.

Fort Hare University should change to Robert Sobukwe. Commemoration of the PAC day.
