Name airport after Mangaliso Sobukwe

2018-10-11 06:04

Cape Town international airport should change to Robert Sobukwe international airport.

It is a fitting to honour to this great leader in the African soil. Most importantly, in the context of Pan Africanism, African Nationalism, Black Consciousness, African Renaissance, African Identity and continental unity. It will be so remarkable for our visitors and international friends to feel at home when they enter through a Robert Sobukwe International Airport.

I propose the name Robert Sobukwe international airport because of the passion, determination and devotion of Robert Sobukwe in the struggle of the people.

Sobukwe sacrificed to put an end to colonialism, exploitation and imperialism.

Sobukwe’s high ideals can be honoured, restored and sustained because they have always been genuine, authentic and relevant to this end.

Sobukwe died speaking of only one language, the total emancipation of the African people. Sobukwe died fighting against apartheid, colonialism, bureaucratic capitalism, semi feudalism in the farming areas of the land, neo-colonialism, imperialism.

Sobukwe fought against apartheid laws, the land act and the pass laws act.
