Off duty cop robbed at gunpoint

Lwandle police need the assistance of the public with their investigation of a house robbery that occurred on Friday 24 August at about 21:50 at Micheal Street, Nomzamo.

It is alleged that three unknown armed male suspects entered the house and pointed firearms at everyone.

They then asked the owner, who is an off-duty police officer, who the owner of the red VW Polo parked outside is and demanded the keys.

The suspects took the car keys, a 32 inch flat screen Sony plasma TV and LG music system and amplifier.

Sergeant Mthokozisi Gama said the suspects also instructed all the victims to go to the bedroom and remain there before they left the scene in the red VW Polo with registration number CL 16287.

Gama said inside the vehicle there was a hand bag with personal accessories.

. Police request anyone with information to contact the commander of the Lwandle police station, Lt. Colonel Xolani Williams on the 082 522 1916 or 021 845 2060 as he is eager to arrest the suspects.
