Khayelitsha will be the host of the second annual Kwaito House Evolution music conference this Saturday from 8:30 am to 15:00 pm.

This event, organised by Topnotch Entertainment aims to provide skills development opportunities to up and coming musos.

Topnotch has partnered with SAE Institute and Bridges For Music to award short course scholarships to up and coming artists.

To be awarded the scholarship, they need to submit their songs to events@topnotchent.co.za

On Saturday morning there will be conference talks, where the up coming artist will learn about music as a business, contract negotiations, production and how to run your own studio.

The speaker for this year will include the legendary Oskido, founder of Kalawa Jazmee.

Dj Oskido as well as SAE Director Trenton Birch, Mtezman producer, artist owner of Alicebo music, Darren Rose an entertainment lawyer, SAMRO representative and Fosta Cape town based artist and producer.

The afterparty will be at Solly Laroca Khayelitsha which will see artist like Oskido, and Lerato Kganyago perform with the Cape Town up and coming artists. This will be open to the general public at a fee.
