LETTER: Parliament is house of comedy

2016-05-26 06:00

The recent chaotic events in parliament prove that we are living under siege.

Our democracy has been hijacked and we are slowly turning into a banana republic.

We are in danger of losing our democracy.

We are shifting towards a crisis that is gaining momentum almost every day that could put our country’s unity and stability at risk.

It is evident that our democratic institutions are also in danger.

Our politics have turned into a joke.

What is currently happening leaves much to be desired.

Parliament has lost its credibility, as honourable members have graduated with distinction, obtaining degrees in political hooliganism.

Something must be done to save our democracy.
