LETTER: Party slogans will not put food on table or employ us

2016-06-09 06:00

The IEC closed the candidate selection process on 2nd June for the elections 2016 local government elections.

If you are not happy with any of the ward candidates, your anger must be coordinated to beat them at the ballot box.

It is 21 years since we attained our freedom, but ours is still an everyday struggle to get employment, and we live in fear of crime.

Your vote must liberate you.

Your vote must not embrace nor endorse corruption and fraud. A voting right its a fundamental responsibility to clean local government from corrupt tendencies.

Use your choice to vote carefully, because in South Africa we vote for a Party, however, you will be saddled with the same individual for the next five years. So don’t choose a character that you cannot even trust with your kid.

Chanting slogans does not put food on the table and does not create jobs. You should ask yourself why are you loyal to a party that is not loyal to your needs.

Your vote must unlock opportunities to your needs to enhance your life for the better.

Your X should be the key to quality service delivery.
