Nyanga have arrested two men, one for the murder of his girlfriend’s father and another one for the murder of a friend.

The first suspect is a 27-year-old who shot the man who disapproved of the relationship with his daughter on Friday.

“The suspect was arrested at about 20:00 in Samora Machel. He had allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend’s father for disapproving the suspect’s relationship with the victim’s daughter. The deceased had moved his daughter out of Province to prevent her from being involved with the suspect,” said police spokesperson Captain Ntomboxolo Sitshitshi.

According to police the suspect shot his victim while he was busy washing his vehicle last week Thursday in Samora Machel.

“The detective s tireless efforts paid on Sunday last night when they were tipped-off about the suspect’s whereabouts,” she said.

The second suspect, a 46-year-old handed himself over on Sunday night at about 23:00.

This is after he heard the police were on the look out for him after he stabbed and fatally wounded a man in Boys Town.
