Process of reporting a missing person

2018-05-24 06:01

Lwandle police seeks public assistance in dealing with missing persons in Lwandle.

When reporting incidents of missing persons in the policing precinct, Lwandle police request the community to:

. Always tell your immediate family members and neighbours where they are going.

. Children should inform the parents of where they are going.

. Parents or family members should look after their family members or children and know where they are.

. Immediately report a missing person. There is no waiting period to report a person as missing.

. Use a recent photo of the missing person. Not having a picture must not stop a person from reporting.

. Always teach children their telephone numbers and home addresses.

. Mentally challenged people must also be monitored at all times and medical intervention should be arranged for them.

Police request the community to assist in searching for missing people.
