Zibonele FM is hosting its annual women’s event today, Thursday the 11th of August, from 08:30 to 1pm, at Thusong Centre, Khayelitsha. The entry is free of charge.

The station felt that celebrating women should be one of its annual events. The event was held for the first time in 2010.

This year it will be celebrated in a different way. It is going to be a fun filled day. Mrs Mithi will be the motivational speaker of the day and she will be dishing out empowering words to women who will be in attendance.

The beautiful women from different age groups and areas of the cape metro will receive a message of encouragement from Rev Malangeni. Mrs Foss who presents Oomama bangolwesine will be the programme director for the day.

There will be lots of entertainment from Lusanda Mcinga, Marko Gospel Group, Eyodidi gospel group and Xolisa Kwinana.

There will also be some free refreshments.
