LETTER: Say no to abuse by partners

2016-03-24 06:00

There are women who stoop very low and expose themselves to abusive partners.

These women get into relationships with the mentality that a man should provide everything for them. They have no dreams or goals to achieve.

This makes a psychopath think that he owns his partner.

We must stand up and do something for ourselves as women. If we take the initiative, we can create job opportunities. Instead of gossiping on street corners, we must come up with plans to establish developmental projects. And that is how we will earn respect in our society. There is no excuse for a man to abuse a woman. It’s time for women to get out of abusive relationships. A relationship is a union where both partners love, respect, care and protect each other. If you endure an abusive partner, you will adopt a low self-esteem and lose your sense of purpose in life. Women, let’s work hard to restore our dignity and that of our children
