Greetings to you all, I hope you are enjoying your journey in entrepreneurship.

Nobody said it was going to be easy. Previously, we spoke about finding customers for your business. I would like to remind you that you must always talk about your business wherever you go.

You might be sitting in a taxi, bus, train or an aeroplane, be always willing to talk about your business.

If you are serious about your business, you will not be shy to talk about it.

Sell, sell, sell. If you cannot sell, find someone who can sell do it for you and pay them a commission on every sale/customer they bring to your business.

It’s the festive season now, some businesses make a lot of money in this month, some are not making as much money, it depends which industry, product or service you are offering.

Take advantage of this season and make as much money as possible.

Don’t fall victim of the “spending fever”, as January is around the corner, so don’t make the mistake of spending business money on the festive vibe.

Always find ways of marketing your business, some ways are cheaper, some are free. An A-frame board in front of your business is one of many ways to market your business. Township marketing strategies are different from what the marketing text books tell us.

Use at what works best in your township. Let’s look at some ways of marketing your small business: 1. Use a ceiling board or piece of zinc to write your services or products, you can make it an A- Frame or stick it on top of your premises. 2. print flyers and distribute them at four-way-stops and traffic lights. 3. Make use of the loud-hailer- as this is often used to call people for a meeting- for your business. Make some noise! 4. Get yourself and staff uniform and get someone to print on them. One of the rules of marketing is consistency; keep us informed, don’t make noise once and disappear. I wish you all the best with your business.
