Think before telling the truth

2017-08-24 06:01

Telling the truth without fear or favour may hurt. Take the case of ANC MP and Portfolio Committee Chairwoman Dr Makhosini Khoza.

She spoke truth to power and was dismissed from her job. The consequences can be devastating.

Unfortunately, it’s not for the first time. Khoza first lost favour with the ruling party after she fearlessly raised her unhappiness with the party leadership. Today, brave Khoza is another victim of the truth. It’s a tradition in the ANC, that outspoken individuals who dare raise a different opinion are shown the door.

The lame ducks and puppets are remote controlled and preferred, while people who stand for the truth are sidelined.
