VJ Search for MTV Base in Cape Town

MTV Base (DSTV channel 322) and Breezer, will continue their search to find South Africa’s next rising star in the second leg of the MTV Base VJ Search in Cape Town.

The search will take place on Saturday 28 July in the Mother City.

Auditions will take place from 09:00 to 16:00, where MTV Base VJ hopefuls with a passion for global and African youth culture and music­.

Bring all that you have to offer, such as your colourful selves, and show the judges that you got the potential to be the next MTV Base VJ.

The judging panel for the 2018 MTV Base VJ Search consist of South Africa’s hottest and well-known talents such as award winning actor and funny man Thomas Gumede (Ridiculousness Africa), stunningly beautiful presenter and actress Boity Thulo (Club 808, Rockville), music icon Kelly Khumalo and 2017 MTV Base VJ Search winner and Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Man 2018 contestant Tshego Koke.

The winner of the 2018 MTV Base VJ Search, will receive a 12-month contract with MTV Base and also stand a chance to host MTV Base show, interview stars, MC events, attend international award shows, walk the red carpet and travel the continent as an ambassador for MTV Base.

The winner will be showing the rest of South Africa and the world how to ‘live life in colour’, in true Breezer style.

An official after-party to celebrate the Cape Town leg of auditions will take place on Sunday 29 July at 50 on Gugs, in Gugulethu.

The artist line-up includes OkMalumKoolKat, VJ Vybes, Aux Wodumdantso, Patty Monroe, VJ Jonno, DJ pH and Kyeezy to keep the party going all night long.

Auditions will be held at Castle of Good Hope.
