LETTER: We need to stand side by side

2016-06-09 06:00

We are not yet free in our own country, and the generations before us who put their lives at risk for our freedom must be turning in their graves.

Ours is the analogy of the slave who put everything else aside to be early for the plantation in the hope of a better life.

It seems we are not even indispensable, as in the case of the slave who gets injured on duty is quickly replaced with another by the master.

Blacks who lack consciousness do not even see anything wrong with the status quo, because to them, thats the way things are.

Black people even sympathize with a White hobo, to whom they can even give their last Rand, but will not do the same to one of their own.

Pastor Xola Skosana argues that Black people must free themselves from the stranglehold of White capital monopoly.

He further argues that we have been wounded beyond measure. Therefore, let us find the pillars to support each other.
