April is a month of freedom.

It is based on the historical or Struggle Calender of our country; the strides we have made towards attaining our glorious freedom.

The freedom we are enjoying today was borne out of the resilience of generations of our progenitors in order to gain the freedom and democracy that we are all enjoying today.

At Acts Business Institute(ABI), we have taken a conscious decision an declared that all SMMEs owners should make certain strides towards changing their lives for good.

Our theme for this month is “Power of Decision”.

There are things that we cannot wait to do, which we must just do for the benefit of our business, our customers, our lives and families.

The decision of opening a business, pursuing clients, paying suppliers, staff payment and being different from one’s competitors is vital to achieve goals that one sets for his or her business.

Our political history and what our leader’s did to achieve our freedom was not easy.

“Freedom was not free” as the saying goes. A high price was paid and some people were willing to sacrifice life or limb towards this goal.

How much price are business people willing to pay for their financial freedom.

Are you willing to spend more time investing in your business; are you willing to go the extra mile for your clients and are you willing to be different to your competitors?

In order to make a lasting impression in business, you need to make decisions on the go.

We tend to fail as entrepreneurs because of procrastination and slowness in terms of taking a simple decision.

Lets decide that this month we will serve more clients in order for us to gain much more in the future.

At ABI we believe strongly in service delivery. High quality service delivery should be the backbone of all SMMEs.

Mediocrity will render your business with low profit margins.

Serve products of high quality. If we are to take back our economy or at least to be on par with our counterparts, we should decide here and now to give and serve our customers correctly and effectively.

Gone are the days of doing things anyway we liked as business people.

The competition is tough out there, however if one decides to serve and cater for their customers with a difference, they will definitely reap the rewards in the near future.

Apple founder and philanthropist Steve Jobs says: “You can’t look at the competition and say you are going to do it better, you have to say you are going to do it differently. That is the decision a business owner should take in order to be relevant and to make a difference.
