We’ll teach ANC lesson in 2019

2017-04-20 06:01

As long as our leaders allow nepotism, tribalism, gangsterism, looting and empty promises(to run rampant in society), there will be no government of the people, by the people, for the people.

Our democracy is being abused by the people we’ve entrusted with the responsibility of having our interests at heart.

On Friday, people took to the streets to take back our hijacked democracy.

I thought the Anti-Zuma protest would get the ANC to see that the will of the people comes first, but it didn’t.

Our country is becoming a mess, and it’s not only because of Zuma.

The people who are allowing Zuma to take our democracy to the cleaners are the ones who are to blame.

In a democracy, the people hire and fire. Our democracy exists only on paper. What we are currently seeing is dictatorship.

When the government fears the people, that is democracy. But when the people fear the government, that is tyranny.

A question to be asked is: are we living in a democratic country? If the answer is no, we need to claim our democracy back.

Nelson Mandela once said: “If the ANC does to you what the apartheid government did to you, then you must do to the ANC what you did to the apartheid government.”

We are not going to arm ourselves against the ruling party. Instead, we are going to handle this peacefully.

A pen will surely be mightier than the sword, come 2019.
