The Cape Town Motor Show (CTMS) is happening this weekend from Saturday 2 to Sunday 3 March at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World, an entire weekend experience for car and bike enthusiasts, petrolheads and casual fans.

BMW, Shelby, Lexus, Mazda, Toyota, Suzuki, VW and Ford will be displaying some of their latest models in the Grand Arena.

Take a drift flip, or even go with a pro as passenger at the Driftkhana event. If bundu-bashing is your thing, The Wildebeest 4x4 Challenge Club hosts the 4x4 track, including an Extreme 4x4 Challenge.

Make a point of attending the Miss Bombshell Betty pageant, hosted by the always-delightful Blue Haired Betty on Sunday 3 March at 14:00. The Dusty Rebels and the Bombshells will also be back, offering an experience of the good old days of vintage 40s, 50s and 60s Rock n Roll style.

At the Sun Exhibits Hall, all the major dealers and suppliers will be offering deals and discounts on products like insurance, parts, accessories, apparel, collectors’ items and gear.

Soundmatch is hosting a world-class Show and Shine event called Stancewars.

This comes with a wide range of the finest cars showcasing custom builds. And then there’s the internationally recognised Sound Off audio competition in association with IASCA, which is also an official attempt to beat the World Record for collective volume.

Find the Nostalgia Zone in the Market Hall for a trip down automotive memory lane, with some of the most rare and unique motor vehicles in the world dating as far back as the early 1900s.

The VIP ticket gets you access to the exclusive VIP area in the Sun Park, a light lunch, drinks vouchers, a drift ride from the folks at XS promotions, a 4x4 drive experience from the Wildebeest Challenge Club, a CTMS cap and shirt, with an entry to win the amazing custom MG build by Cape Kustoms.

This custom rebuild of a 1970s era MGB GT, complete with a 3.9-litre Rover V8 motor will be up for grabs at the show. Enter to win by purchasing some CTMS merchandise at the MG display.
