The Black Cellar Club (BLACC) will host a premium wine and spirits festival for the first time in Langa this coming weekend.

The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Guga S’thebe Arts & Culture Centre.

On Saturday the doors will open from 11:30am until 6pm and on Sunday from 11:30 am until 5pm.

Tickets are available at Quicket for R220 per person per day.

Co founder of BLACC Aubrey Ngcungama said they want to bring South African wines to our communities so they can fully embrace the wine industry and also influence the industry to embrace the people.

BLACC ambassador Wanda Guma said it is very nice to see so many premium beverage brands supporting the festival.

Guma said people have been calling for a wine revolution where experience premium brands in their local communities, being served and educated about those wines.

“Look forward to a weekend of superb wine and spirits, real South African cuisine, intriguing conversations and soulful beats,” said Guma.

Western Cape premier Helen Zille congratulated BLACC on two years of promoting the growth of the South African wine industry whilst advocating responsible drinking and wine education.
