The Township Basketball League (TBL) under the auspices of Real Youth International (RYI) hosted a series of school friendly games at the Bulumko High School courts.

TBL spokesman Dumisani Wambi said there was action galore as learners tried to outsmart each other.

“The atmosphere was electronic and the lads played with passion,” said Wambi.

“ Learners are always keen to be physically active and RYI reaches out to this need, especially during the exam period for relaxation,” he said.

The game between Bulumko Wizards and Luhlaza Comets ignited fires with the former winning 37-23.

It was Wizards’ second victory against Comets and they remain unbeaten in the season, perched at the top of the league.

The following players are leading in points leader board: Rixana (16pts), Nqolo (8pts), Ndlela (7pts), Tolana (12pts) and Mahote (6pts)

“Well done to the boys for showing up, we’re proud of you for choosing to be above average. Despite the gangstersm influence on our young brothers, to see them realise their potential and getting along is work done,” said Wambi.
