Young Stars severely stung playing against Busy Bees

Busy Bees scored more points in their match against Young Stars on Saturday in the allotted time for an entire rugby match.

They beat Young Stars by 105-5, the biggest score thus far in all the club competitions of Western Province Rugby Union this year.

Busy Bees is currently lying second on the log with 53 points after 13 matches and have one game in hand on log leaders Macassar, who have 62 points after 14 matches.

Langa is lying in the eighth position with 41 points after 13 matches. Blue Jets is in ninth position with 28 points after the same amount of matches. Both Langa and Busy Bees are at home this coming Saturday where they will entertain Strand United and Kylemore respectively.

In the Promotion League, Lagunya lost 21-33 in Nyanga against Raithby-Universals in their first game in the competition.

Lagunya has another tough encounter when they travel to Stellenbosch for the match against Van der Stel-Evergreens who bounced back after beating Silvertree by 46-15.

The previous week, Masiphumelele trounced Van der Stel-Evergreens by 46-20 and started Saturday’s game at the bottom of the log with 20 points against them.

They redeemed themselves with the win over Silvertree and jumped from ninth to fifth position.

Masiphumelele (seven points) also had to play second fiddle against Police and will want to get into winning ways when they play against Silvertree in an away game. All eyes will be on this game as Blue Stars, who had a bye last week, is leading the log with 10 points after two matches.

In the Super League C: Young Wesleys vs Blue Jets, Langa vs Strand United, Busy Bees vs Kylemore. In the Promotion League Lagunya plays against Van der Stel-Evergreens in Stellenbosch.
