Youth must take up the baton

2017-06-08 06:01

The high employment rate, high crime rate, the political crisis, the abuse of alcohol and drugs, violent strikes, are just some of the lot we have to endure in our country.

My concerned is with the youth and what we are doing to fix our country, except the bad we have become known for and the bad things that are happening in our name.

It is time for us to take part in building the South Africa we want. We cannot sit back and do nothing and expect everything to happen on its own. We must wake up and work hard, this is our country that our fathers fought for.

This our future, and if anything bad happens, we only have us to blame.

We have been calling for the government to give us chance to lead, but how are we going to accomplish that if we continue on this downward spiral.

We waste our time on alcohol and drugs, and we commit crime. Where is the future, and why are we killing the future of our country? What happened to a youth with vision. This is the time to step in and do what we need to do; take over the leadership of our country and build the new South Africa.
