After humble beginnings at Young Bafana Academy, Asanda Dyani has been signed by Free State Stars.

At the tender age of 12, the Lwandle local joined the Young Bafana development structure.

“His hunger and grit were clear from day one,” said his coach, Bernd Steinhage. “He often scored three, four or even five goals during a match. As a junior this boy was always reaching for the sky.”

After his junior development “Zuka”, as Dyani is known, joined Kaizer Chiefs for one season and Ubuntu Cape Town for another. “We wish you all the best in the professional ranks, Zuka,” said Steinhage, congratulating his player. “Continue being a source of pride in our youngsters.”
