AFTER 29 years at Dianthus Primary School, foundation phase teacher Mrs G Govender bid farewell to the school at a function held in her honour recently.

Govender has been in the teaching profession for 35 years and has traded in her chalkboard for time with her family.

Over her many years as a teacher she has had a great impact on the lives of numerous pupils.

Staff at the school described Govender as a patient and dedicated teacher who paid attention to detail and whose character is worthy of emulation.

The teachers and pupils of Dianthus Primary wish Govender a joyful retirement after leaving them with everlasting and priceless memories.
