A ROLLOVER accident along Vincent Dickens­ Road (Ndwedwe main road) left 15 people injured, one critical.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha, a report from the scene indicates that the taxi was rounding a bend when he veered off the road and overturned several times.

“Netcare 911 paramedics the fire department and other services arrived at the scene and found that some of the commuters had been ejected along the way.

“After triaging the injured it was found that a man had sustained critical injuries while 14 people sustained­ injuries ranging from serious to minor­.

“After medics stabilised the injured at the scene, they airlifted the critically wounded man to the Nkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital while the other patients were transported by ambulance to various local hospitals.”
