ADVERTORIAL

2018-10-04 06:02

BACK, neck and joint pains are very common.

Often the cause is not serious and can easily be treated through conservative means such as chiropractic.

The factors that can result in chronicity of pain/limitation of movement include failure to seek treatment early resulting in the development of fibrosis and degeneration. Athletes, no matter which sport, are often prone to injuries which are of two types viz. macrotrauma (e.g. due to a fall) or repetitive microtrauma (trauma which builds up over time).

I have several years of clinical experience and two masters degrees in sports medicine and chiropractic and have been involved in medical teams for several sporting events.

I work on injury evaluation and treatment, assessing training regimes, nutrition advice, immune status and its impact on performance and other lifestyle modifications. For a consultation or assessment please call me Dr Junaid Shaik on 032 541 6028 or 078 655 6299.
