THE trending international pattern on various fronts like politics and business seems to break patriarchal conventions in terms of women’s capacity to lead on various matters. With the recent appointment of Theresa May as Prime Minister in the United Kingdom, to Hillary Clinton’s nomination in the United States to our very own Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zumu in the African Union, women should feel confident that they are equal players on all matters. Success comes through hard work, consistency, perseverance and core values of honesty, integrity and compassion. These qualities come inherent in our DNA. Deeply rooted in our South African traditions, customs and values of the rainbow nation we must stand tall and boldly march forward opening new frontiers for our emancipation and economic prosperity. Nerusha Perumaul Physiotheraphy, a fully female operated practice, supports and encourages women empowerment and strongly condemns any form of abuse towards woman and children. Let us stand united in saluting and respecting our mothers and woman of our nation past and present. Happy Women’s Day and month.
