MEMBERS of the Verulam Drug Task Team arrested a man in Riet River near Verulam in possession of 296 suspected heroin capsules last Friday. Police spokesperson in Verulam Captain Mark Prakasim said the police received information about a man selling drugs from his house in Riet River. “The members held an observation for several hours and then swooped in on the premises and recovered blue and white capsules suspected to be heroin with a street value of R6 000.” Prakasim commended the members involved in the arrest for their good work. -Supplied
