AFTER celebrating a successful 2016, the Tongaat Panthers are geared to make 2017 a better sporting year.

Last Sunday 20 members took to the R102 towards the King Shaka International Airport taking part in the second leg of the 2017 Thinnys League Challenge.

Krish Naidu and Dave Reddy led the 15km team home in a time of 1.40 whilst the grandmaster Loga Naidoo led the 12km walkers to finish in 1.30.

This past Sunday 17 dedicated members took part in the third leg of the Thinnys League Challenge.

Members have increased their distances and improved their times.

The 4th leg of the league takes place this coming Sunday at 5am.

The youth are also reminded that the 2017 Youth Development programme takes place every Wednesday at 4pm commencing on 1 February.

All interested youth are invited. Club licence forms are available at Bugwan’s Extension. The licence fee for 2017 is R250. - Supplied.
