UTHONGATHI Football Club Cane Cutters emerged victorious from their two games held at Princess Magogo Stadium recently.

In a recent game, Cane Cutters beat Witbank Spurs FC 2-0. The goal scorer was Siyabonga Vilane.

The team was playing for the first time after their last game with Real Kings was postponed last week after the club’s chairperson Nicholas “Mkhize” Gumede was gunned down in Tongaat.

The club’s communications manager, Nkosinathi Chili, thanked all supporters for supporting the team in their games.

Chili urged soccer supporters to rally behind the local team.

The team is currently ranked number four in the National First Division log.
