TONGAAT Secondary School matric pupils­ ululated and danced at the school in celebration of their last exam paper on Monday, November 27.

Nelisiwe Ndwandwe said: “English paper three was a bit challenging, but I’m optimistic that everything will go well. I want to further my studies and study law next year.”

Herschelle Gopal thanked his teachers for helping them prepare for exams.

The school is one KZN’s high schools that is expected to get high pass rate this year.

Last year one of the top achievers in the province came from Tongaat Secondary School.

Principal Rajen Singh said: “I am confident from the feedback received from the pupils that we will achieve at least 95% pass rate this year.

“We did everything possible to assist our matric pupils to prepare for exams.

“I am hoping that everything will go well.”

At the matric farewell Singh wished the pupils all the best and encouraged them to focus on their future after matric.
