THE Verulam Football Premier League is entering its final stretch with Parkgate Celtics looking comfortable at the top of the log and with the Parkgate outfit needing a couple of wins to wrap up this year’s title and progress to the SAB league playoffs.

However, Classic FC, Kwazini FC and Madrid FC will be doing all in their power to prevent this from happening. Soccer fans are urged to go to the Verulam Recreational Grounds to find out if one of these teams will be able to pull off a comeback of epic proportions or if Celtics stroll to the league title and pull of a cup double.

In other football news, the executive of Verulam Football would like to announce its annual year end football banquet and awards evening which will take place at Acacia Primary School hall on 2 December 6pm.

All members of the public who wish to join the league next year or wish to assist through sponsorships are invited and should contact the president Martha Narainsamy on 072 7621 925.

Fixtures for Saturday 26 November at the Verulam recreation Grounds:

Game 1: Black City F.C. vs. Verulam United (3pm)

Game 2: Bhakabhaka vs. Amakhehla (4.30pm)

Game 3: Classic F.C. vs. Madrid F.C. (5.45pm)

Played at the Trenance Park Grounds:

Game 1: Parkgate Swallows vs. Kwazini F.C. (3.30pm) - Supplied.
