THE Tongaat Panthers Athletic club continues its commitment towards youth development.

Every Wednesday, youth from primary schools ranging from nine years upwards, meet at the Belvedere pool parking lot where they start off with warm up and then participate in the 2,5 km and five kilometre time trials.

Tongaat Panthers said in a statement: “Physical activity is vital to the holistic development of youth, fostering their physical, social and emotional health.”

The co-ordinator of the programme said in a statement: “The children are so committed and enthusiastic and competitive. They definitely have potential.”

A special appeal is made to all dog owners to keep all dogs secure in their yards at all times.

Members are reminded that the next leg of the Thinny’s League Challenge will take place on March 25 at 5.30 pm.
