AN exciting soccer tournament was held at the Dawncrest Astro Soccer Fields on August 5, the fifth of its kind held since the opening.

Twenty teams from across Durban and surrounds, including Durban North, Phoenix, Tongaat and Ballito participated.

The organisers would like to thank the teams for good turnout and sportsmanship shown throughout the day.

It was also great to see the local community Verulam coming out in their numbers to support this event. A big thank you to eNanda Hardware for sponsoring the prize money of R5 000 ensuring the winners and runners-up did not go home empty handed.

After a day of tough competition, Railways and the local team - The Lawyers - played a thrilling final game.
The Tongaat team, Railways took the final honors and were declared champions.
Congratulations to them and the other teams who entered.
