ANDILE SITHOLE

IT was a day filled with thrilling activities and fun for hundreds of Grade R Victoria Primary pupils as they started their new school year yesterday, January 17.

The newbies said they were proud to start the new academic year.

Principal Lajeeth Maharaj said: “We are ready for the academic year.

“In fact we put plans in place last year to start 2018 without any
problems.

“Textbooks and workbooks were delivered last year and every child will get a workbook.

We are looking forward to a successful and very rewarding 2018.

“We took in 150 new children this year, so we have no space to take in more.”
