THE runner from Checkout Verulam Falcons AC Mzwanele Shabani remains on fire as he demolished another marathon.
The youngster remained strong and completed the Township to Township run in 3:08, despite running the challenging Mandela Marathon last month.
The Township to Township Marathon 2017 started in Princess Magogo Stadium, KwaMashu and ended at the King Zwelithini Stadium, Umlazi.
Athletes had a grueling end as they had to climb the long and winding Mangosuthu Highway.
Felokwakhe Nxumalo and Goodness Magubane, successfully tackled the marathon as well.
In the half marathon, Comrades silver medallist Derick Gumede finished seventh with a time of 1.14.
Agnes Sangweni also completed the 21.1km with Eddie Singh finishing shortly after her.
The 29th Leg of the Asmals HyperSave continued on Sunday, October 1. There was a positive number of participants, traversing the R102 route.
