MOUNTVIEW Secondary School bid farewell to two outstanding pillars of education as they both embarked on their retirement on October 20.

The staff, parents and pupils wished them great happiness and contentment.
Mr Vardarajan, with 40 years as a teacher, 31 of which were at Mountview Secondary and Mrs Chetty, with 39 years as a teacher 35 of which were at Mountview Secondary, have contributed immensely to the educational environment at the school.
They have served the school with the greatest dedication and sincerity.

The event was attended by department officials, principals, school governing body members, staff and pupils. - Supplied.
