THIRTY youth from the Tongaat South area attended the first leg of the Panthers youth development programme for last Wednesday.
The soaring summer temperatures did not deter the enthusiastic youngsters.
Nikhil Rajkumar led the team to the finish in an excellent time.
The co-ordinator Ms Maharaj said: “It was overwhelming to see the interest in these youth. I am positive that the numbers will increase this week.”

A special appeal is made to residents of Sastri Circle and Flamingo to please keep their dogs within their premises especially during the time of the programme.
Senior citizens and those who are interested in making a start towards a healthy lifestyle may also join.
Adults can join the adult group on Sunday mornings from Victoria Primary.

The sixth leg of the Thinnys League Challenge takes place on Sunday, 19 February at 5.30am from Victoria Primary.
