REPRESENTATIVES of the Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society led by Peru Naidu, visited Sandfields Primary School on September 21 to present a certificate to the school for their outstanding contribution made towards the Children’s Fund.

Addressing the school assembly, Naidu thanked all the pupils and teachers for their good work and dedication towards the initiative.

He also said that the money received will help to sustain the schools’ breakfast programme.

At the moment, 2 566 pupils are benefiting daily from this programme where a nutritious breakfast cereal is provided to them.

A special thank you was given to B. Mkhwanazi, the co-ordinating teacher, for his dedication, sincere commitment and hard work in ensuring that a successful contribution was made.
