HIRSCH’S Ballito visited Ithemba Labasha children’s crèche in Shaka’s Head recently to hand out a range of cleaning detergents for the little centre.

Danielle Dalton and Nonhlanhla Ntsele met with staff and children at local non-profit organisation, Ithemba Labasha in support of the work it does for the community and to donate some much needed cleaning products to help maintain a high standard of hygiene for the many children who call Ithemba Labasha their home from home.

The centre supports a total of 145 children in Shaka’s Head township by caring for children while their parents are at work and providing hot meals to the children when they finish school in the afternoon.

With the help of the unwavering support of centre co-ordinators, Debbie Joubert and Elna Rootman and the assistance of Felicia Zamile, Doreen Yengwa and Sylvia Gwayi; the children live in a safe, hygienic environment.

However, the donation of cleaning agents to the centre will go a long way in ensuring Ithemba Labasha remains cleaner for longer and for cheaper.

Hirsch’s public relations officer, Danielle Dalton said it was rewarding to do something positive for such a deserving organization.

“Ithemba Labasha provides such a happy place for the children to interact in, and if we as a community can help out with the facility, it would go a long way in assisting the project leaders with the running of the centre,” said Dalton.
