JUNE marks Substance Awareness Month and the Haven of Rest Halfway House, for recovering alcohol and drug users will be holding a placard demonstration outside Tongaat Sizakala­ Centre (municipal building) on Friday 24 June from 8am.

The campaign is to commemorate International Drug Free Day, which is on 26 June.

The aim is to create awareness and alert the community about the dangers of drugs and their criminal consequences. The Halfway House invites the community to participate in this initiative to curb substance abuse.
